What was the highlight or most memorable moment of your tour?

Seeing a mother leopard and her 2 cubs playing in the grass and then with a kill up in a tree. Also we saw a cheetah mother and cub with a kill, lions facing up with buffalo and lots of elephants!

What was the highlight or most memorable moment of your tour?

Two cheetahs quietly watching a herd of gazelles blunder towards them. Surely time to attack? Not according to the cheetahs and they should know. We wait - suddenly one of them is off, the chosen victim quickly brought down, its neck clamped between white teeth and brought to within 5 metres of our minibus. The second cheetah looks on and learns - his turn next time. With chilling efficiency the carcass is dismantled and consumed, a blood-stained face occasionally raised for another round of clicks. Somehow, our lunch of hard boiled eggs pale into insignificance.

What was the highlight or most memorable moment of your tour?

Early morning in the Serengeti - the light, the reflections in the water ways, the vast variety of mammals and birds and the way they interact.  The weaver birds building their nests, the redbilled ox pecker keeping the hippos free of ticks - (I think) - the Superb Starlings were 'superb' and the lilac breasted rollers were also superb.  I suppose the most intimate and affecting moments were spent watching a female cheetah protecting her kill (a Thompson gazelle) from the white backed vultures who were surveying the area from the treetops,  as three cheetah cubs were feeding

The awesome Leopard kill, the spectacular hot air balloon safari trip, the amazing and romantic sunrises and sunsets across the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater, a once in a lifetime honeymoon experience never to be forgotten. Early morning game drives provided us with the opportunity to see lions, hyenas, jackals, topi, gazelles, giraffes, elephants, zebras and buffalos amongst many other animals. The photos taken are breathtakingly fantastic. Hearing the lions roaring in the night and being surrounded by gazelles when strolling out of the spectacular upgraded tents in the Tarangire National Park is very memorable. Watching the baby elephants playing in the water and the baby baboons squabbling and fighting with each other was highly amusing. Observing and mingling with the locals going about their daily lives was also a highlight of this unbelievable trip. Visiting the spice island in Zanzibar taught us more about the culinary delights of Tanzanian food and hiring a car enabled us to make the most of the glorious white sandy beaches that Zanzibar has to offer. Walking, dancing and relaxing on the powdery sands, swimming in the Indian Ocean and drinking champagne and cocktails on the beach was truly a delight. This certainly was an amazing honeymoon and well deserved after many months of planning our wedding. We would definitely recommend this trip to all romantic, adventurous and sun seeking honeymooners.(TLZ -14th August 2010)
