1. Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania on Foot

Explore the Baltic States on this walking holiday, which includes guided tours of Tallinn, Riga and Vilnius. Outside of the cities, you can learn to bog walk in the unique ecosystem of Estonia’s Lahemaa National Park, explore forts and castles in Latvia and ramble in the dunes and pine forests of Curonian Spit in Lithuania. We walk almost every day but the maximum distance is 11km, leaving plenty of time to relax or explore the medieval towns and cities under your own steam.

2. Walking in New Zealand

New Zealand is nature’s playground, with a thrilling variety of landscapes to discover, from fjords and glaciers to beaches and forests. And what better way to discover it than on a walking holiday? On this trip we travel both the North and South Islands, making sure to visit all of the must-see attractions. Hike among the bubbling mud pools and hissing geysers of the Waimangu Valley, in the shadow of Mount Cook, New Zealand's highest peak, and across golden beaches in the Abel Tasman National Park. We also walk the Queen Charlotte Track, a coastal route that weaves through the beautiful Marlborough Sounds.

3. Self-Guided Tuscan Trails - Florence to Siena

Take the stress out of your Italy walking holiday with our self-guided trip - we create the route and organise the accommodation and transfers for you. Walk past olive groves and Renaissance villas near Florence to Fiesole, with fascinating Etruscan and Roman ruins to be explored. On another day, hike along a section of the Via Francigena, a 700-year-old pilgrim route to Rome. The walk takes you through typical Tuscan countryside into the walled medieval town of San Gimignano.

4. On Foot in Vietnam

Our two-week walking holiday in Vietnam includes the must-visit cities of Hanoi, Hoi An and Ho Chi Minh City. And to experience rural life, we spend two nights in Pu Luong Nature Reserve, in an eco-friendly lodge with breath-taking views over the mountains, forests and terraced fields of the area. The lodge is a perfect base for two days of walking past paddy fields, through local villages and along a scenic river – ending in a peaceful ride on bamboo rafts back to our base.

5. Walking in the Eastern Algarve

Escape to the historic town of Tavira in the Algarve, with its relaxed and easy-going atmosphere. This week-long trip includes several easy grade relaxing walks among a variety of landscapes. We ramble in coastal national parks that are home to many species of birds, including flamingos and seabirds. We walk on five of the seven days with a maximum walking distance of 15km per day, giving plenty of time to unwind on the beach and sample the delicious food and drink of the area.

6. Self-Guided Naxos and Santorini

Explore two spectacular, and quite different, Greek islands on this self-guided walking holiday. On Naxos, walk ancient paths and hike to the summit of Mount Zas (Mount Zeus), where you’ll be rewarded with panoramic views of the islands. And on Santorini, famous for its dazzling white houses with their blue roofs, walk around Akrotiri, the ruins of a settlement destroyed in a volcanic eruption in the 16th century. Graded easy to moderate, these walks are in hilly regions on well-kept paths.

7. Cuba Highlights on Foot

Cuba is a popular destination but there’s a lot to see outside of Havana, away from the tourist trail. Uncover Cuba’s hidden gems on our easy grade walking holiday. You’ll walk through tropical forests, lush green valleys and tobacco fields. And to cool off there are natural pools and waterfalls for a swim. At the end of each day we stay in casa particulares – Cuban homestays hosted by a local family.
