We had a great time and the local agent was superb throughout the holiday. They were always there to meet, greet and guide us. Their reps were extremely knowledgeable, friendly and in the main spoke English very well. The hotels were also generally very good and even the lowest on our scoreboard was more than acceptable. Again the best were Inkaterra (Machu Picchu), Inkallpa (Vale Sagrado), Eco Inn (Puno) and Hilton in Paracas. We were pleased that we added the Ballestas Islands and Colca Canyon as these trip were excellent and we saw dolphins, penguins, sea lions, pelicans, and finally a condor in the canyon.

I've been back from my trip nearly two weeks now and I wanted to thank you for organising at short notice, the first part of what was a fantastic trip to South America.  Everything ran very smoothly and I was quite impressed with Condor Travel, their guides and the network of people they had, who seemed to appear at various times with tickets or a packed lunch!

I'm really glad to have arrived at Machu Picchu after the one day Inca Trail, rather than simply arriving by bus, with the anticipation growing as we got closer and the first glimpses from the Sun Gate.  The various visits to Inca sites during the preceding days had set the scene.  I  certainly slept very soundly after the trek at the Inkaterra Machu Picchu Hotel, which was very comfortable.  The ruins and trail seemed quiet following the annual closure for maintenance and despite it being the rainy season, the following day when we returned, we had good visibility and some sunshine.

After leaving Peru, I particularly enjoyed driving in to the desert to see the telescopes at La Silla Observatory in Chile, various activities such as kayaking and cycling near Parity, Brazil with its near deserted beaches and finally the spectacular scenery in Rio, where I also went hand-gliding.  I regret slightly not taking the opportunity to see the Iguazu Falls while I was in Buenos Aires for the week but I can save that for another time!
