What was the highlight or most memorable moment of your tour?

There was a great mix of relaxation and actvity. The scenery is stunning. It was lovely exploring a new island every day and being able to swim off the boat in the beautiful crystal clear water.

How was your Explore Tour Leader?

Nikeljna was fantastic! As Dubrovnik is her home town she was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the sights and the history. She accommodated extra requests and was lovely with the children.

What tips would you give to someone else booking this tour?

Being on a boat there are a lot of opportunities for swimming so you don't need many other clothes! We had taken jumpers but in August we didn't need them. The cabins are very small so take the minimum. Most of the beaches are stoney and some have sea urchins so good water shoes are worth taking.

Do you have anything else to add?

Everyone, but especially the children, really enjoyed the kayaking and windsurfing.

From the moment we stepped on board the Mila Majka, Captain Pedro and his family made us feel totally welcome. The sea kayaking the next morning around Dubrovnik was a real highlight and a great way to get to know the rest of the group. Then we headed off along the beautiful and surprisingly undeveloped coastline to our first island stop for a swim; the first of many on this trip. The food and local wine were superb (Pedro was once a chef in Rome), the water turquoise and clear and the villages unspoilt. The kids (and adults!) took advantage of every opportunity to jump off the boat into the water. Korcula was a highlight, though was rather busy in peak season – and the windsurfing was in a great sheltered spot by the city walls. A relaxing tour with plenty of active stuff to do if you want it, and the ice cream is to die for! The kids got on brilliantly as did the parents. My top tip would be to take a good pair of water shoes as there are lots of sea anemones. Also pack light – you don’t need much and storage in the cabins is limited. (FDC- 14th August 2010)
