Depart the UK on your overnight flight to Botswana, via Johannesburg.

Arriving around lunch time, you transfer to your lodge where you can relax for the afternoon, ready to begin your adventure tomorrow!

Island Safari Lodge
Island Safari Lodge offers comfortable thatched chalets with air-conditioning and en suites. There are two pools available and bar. The lodge overlooks the Thamalakane River; mokoro safaris can be arranged.

Moremi Game Reserve
Meeting the rest of your safari group, you depart early from Maun and head to Moremi Game Reserve. Covering both swamp land and dry areas the reserve is full of unexpected contrasts and a unique environment. The wildlife varies between large herds of elephants and buffalos, to cheetahs, hyenas, wild dogs, giraffes, leopards, lions and jackals. The birdlife is vast and varied, and ranges from elegant water birds to a huge variety of ducks, geese and heron. Over the next three days you will explore the area on early morning and late afternoon game drives.

Mobile bush camping
Your mobile safari truck can accommodate up to 12 passengers, with forward facing seats and open sides. There is a mobile kitchen, food is cooked on a open fire and served at the camp table by the camp assistant. The dome tents have camping matresses provided, however you will be required to take a sleeping bag. A bush toilet and hot shower are also provided. Although local staff will deal with most camp chores you are expected to erect your tent and some extra participation may be required.

Chobe National Park
Departing Moremi National Park you drive to the Savuti region of Chobe National Park where you explore the drier areas to spot large herds of elephants. Travelling further north your game drives follow the Chobe River where you can see crocodile and hippo in the water, while waterbuck, roan, eland, sable, buffalo and giraffe can be seen along the banks. The birdlife in this area is very diverse, with fish eagles, Pel’s fishing owls, African skimmers, kingfishers and storks.

Livingstone
Leaving Chobe National Park on a ferry across the Zambezi River, your journey continues to Livingstone on the Zambian side of the Victoria Falls. The next two days are free for you to explore the thunderous Victoria Falls or arrange one of the many activities available in Livingstone.

Maramba Lodge
Maramba Lodge offers spacious and airy thatched chalets, nestled under mopane and mahogany trees, with views overlooking Maramba River or the waterhole. They have en suites and ceiling fans. The lodge offers a swmming pool and louge area to relax in.

Depart Zambia
This morning you will have another chance to do some last minute sightseeing or souvenir shopping before your afternoon flight back to the UK, via Johannesburg.
