Visit Meknes, Volubilis and Moulay Idriss
Today you will travel to the city of Meknes. A guided tour around the UNESCO World Heritage Site takes in the medinas, mosques and hammans built in the Spanish-Moorish style. Afterwards, travel to the ancient archaeological site of Volubilis, to visit the ruins of the3rd century Roman colonial town, followed by a visit to the Muslim pilgrimage site of Moulay Idriss.

Drive to Erfoud
Leaving Fez this morning, your journey to Erfoud takes you through cities, cedar forest, over High Atlas passes, alongside the valley De Ziz and to the desert. You may be lucky enough to spot a Barbary ape en route!

Transfer to Merzouga
Stopping in the small fortified town of Rissani, today you will travel to Merzouga, where you will change your transportation for camel. Trekking out into the desert you stay at a traditional Berber camp where you may chose to sleep under the stars.

On reaching your camp near the sand dunes, you will settle down under a desert sky for the evening.
