What Was The Highlight Or Most Memorable Moment Of Your Tour
Visiting our guide's family in a tiny hamlet off the beaten track. Vitebsk was lovely.
Tour Leader Name
How Was Your Explore Tour Leader
Excellent. Very informative, sociable and helpful. Essential for translating in restaurants!
What Tips Would You Give To Someone Else Booking This Tour
If going at the beginning of the season take plenty of mozzy repellent/anti mosquito clothing as the forest is full of them. Don't expect to spend a lot of money - 200 euros is more than enough for Belarus with a few zlotys extra for Warsaw.
Do You Have Anything Else To Add
Don't go with any preconceptions. This is not a backward country and parts are surprisingly beautiful.
What was the highlight or most memorable moment of your tour?
Meeting the tour leader's grandfather in a village outside grodna and the tartar church near the border.
How was your Explore Tour Leader?
Excellent very friendly and efficient and with belarus / polish nationality gave us insights into changing societies
What tips would you give to someone else booking this tour?
With 3 picnics, take equipment for picknicking.
Do you have anything else to add?
Long journeys in a croded minibus was a downer, and Belarus has a very tragic history so if tales of massacres depress you, try somewhere else. On the positive side very interesting history, quirky still backward soviet service and minsk a soviet planned city that nearly works.
