The waterfalls offer an air of 'unreality', says writer

Groups planning to take family adventure holidays should visit the Iguacu Falls in South America, as the fantastic waterfalls offer an almost "unreal" experience.

That is according to award-winning writer Adrian Mourby, who visited the formation, located in both Brazil and Argentina, for the Independent newspaper.

Mr Mourby wrote in the news provider about his first view of Iguacu Falls, which is made up of nearly 300 separate waterfalls.

"I first saw clouds of spray shot through with the rays of the dipping sun, then column after column of white water crashing down from the river's Argentinean side," he wrote.

"[Then] I began walking towards the Devil's Throat, the most impressive single waterfall, which is firmly on the Brazilian side of the border."

When reaching this amazing part of the waterfall, Mr Mourby said the vista he was taking in was so sublime it "had an air of unreality" to it.
