The city still has many Moorish remains spread across it

People planning adventure holidays to Spain will find that the southern city of Malaga is a "dynamic and atmospheric" area, according to the Spanish Tourist Office.

Ignacio Vasallo, who is director of the tourism board in the United Kingdom and Ireland, said that the Andalucian city has a range of things to offer.

The Spanish Tourist Office particularly recommended visiting some of the cities more cultural attractions.

Mr Vasallo said that anyone visiting the city should "make sure they visit the former home of Picasso, the Picasso Museum and the Alcazaba - one of Southern Spain's most important historic monuments".

In Malaga, travellers can take in all the historical former areas inhabited by the Moors. This adventure holiday can continue down into Morocco, which also still has a range of Moorish architecture.

According to figures recently released by flight comparison website Skyscanner, Malaga is the most popular destination for Brits planning to go away this Easter.
