April is the coolest month, as far as retail goes
People planning adventure holidays should travel to Istanbul next month, as it is the perfect temperature to visit the city.
An article in The Daily Telegraph suggests that the end of April is packed with events in the United Kingdom: from Easter (on the 24th) to the royal wedding (April 29th) and travellers may wish to get away from the country.
The writer of the article - which outlines reasons to travel in the approaching month - also recommends the inaugural occurrence of a retail festival.
"You never really need an excuse to visit Istanbul - it's a fascinating city at any time of year, though it's a good idea to avoid steaming hot July and August," the writer suggests.
"Go this month and you can enjoy more pleasant temperatures and the first Istanbul Shopping Festival (until April 26th)."
Istanbul, formerly known as Constantinople, was chosen as the European Capital of Culture in 2010 and will be the European Capital of Sports in 2012.
