Those seeking adventure vacations may like Hong Kong for its contrasts
Tourists seeing adventure vacations may find Hong Kong suits them because it is a "city of contrasts".
Dawn Page, director UK & Northern Europe for the Hong Kong Tourism Board, claims that visitors can gauge what Hong Kong "is all about" by doing a number of things.
She said: "I always tell people to get up early, stroll through Victoria Park and watch people starting their day with a Tai Chi session. It's so relaxing and a complete contrast to the usual bright lights and bustle of Hong Kong.
"A trip on the Star Ferry is also a must. But sit downstairs to get the true experience."
Ms Page added that the Star Ferry is a good way of seeing the Symphony of Lights multimedia show that lights up the harbour every evening at 8pm.
According to research by STR Global, hotels in the Asia/Pacific region experienced increases in all three key performance metrics at the end of 2010.
