Visitors to Durmitor National Park can try out adrenaline-fuelled activities such as whitewater rafting and bungee jumping
Holidaymakers looking for adventure activities in Montenegro should check out Durmitor National Park.
That is according to travel writer David Rose, who revealed that visitors to the picturesque site will be able to try out a range of adrenaline-fuelled activities such as whitewater rafting and bungee jumping.
Writing for the travel section of the Daily Mail, he said: "The [Tara] river's rapids – rated grade three on the international scale – challenging enough to provide a real thrill to six-year-olds and adults alike, while not so huge as to be totally terrifying.
"During one of the wildest sections, we passed beneath the arch of a road and watched while someone plummeted down towards us. Fortunately, he was merely participating in the Tara's other sporting attraction – bungee jumping."
Mr Rose added that the park is home to a range of stunning natural features and landscape including lakes forests and mountains.
Durmitor National Park is a World Heritage Site in the mountainous north-west region of Montenegro, with some peaks as high as 9,000ft.
