Travellers looking for adventure activities in St Lucia will be able to drive through a volcano during their time on the island.
Travel writer Nigel Thompson recently completed a tour of the island and revealed one of his favourite moments was venturing inside a now-collapsed volcano called Sulphur Springs.
He wrote on the Daily Mirror website: "Finally, the highlight of the day's tour: getting to stand inside a volcano.
"Just a few miles from Soufriere is Sulphur Springs, billed as the world's only drive-in volcano, and just £4 for this once-in-a-lifetime experience."
Hikers may also like to travel up to Signal Hill, according to Mr Thompson, as it offers "marvellous views" of the surrounding area, including the former French colonial island of Martinique.
St Lucia has a rich history, with Britain and France struggling to gain power of the island during the early 19th century, and visitors can see various landmarks of this era including old colonial buildings and war memorials.
