Brazil has a climate that makes it a great destination all year round
One of the most charming things about Brazil is that it is ideal for activity breaks, whatever the time of year.
The country is preparing to enjoy plenty of media attention in the coming years, as it has secured hosting rights for both the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympics two years later.
But according to Embratur, you don't have to wait until then to enjoy the many great things Brazil has to offer, or even until the summer months.
The tourism organisation explains: "You can spend the New Year [here], because our summertime began in December and is until March, so we have a very good tropical climate during the whole year."
Beyond the temperate climate, there also great outdoor activities on hand, such as riding boats along the Amazon River.
To take in the amazing tropical scenery as well as cities such as Rio de Janeiro, why not consider the Pure Brazil itinerary, which also takes you to the exquisite Iguacu Falls waterfalls and the colonial city of Salvador.
