Adventure holiday makers could take in some international culture
People planning to take an adventure holiday to Tunisia may like to plan their trip so it coincides with one of the most eclectic world music festivals in north Africa.
Held just outside of the capital Tunis, in the town of Sidi Bou Said, the Musiqat International Festival of Music will take place between October 2nd and 16th.
Among the worldwide acts set to perform at the festival are Babani Kone, from Mali, Lo Cor de la Plana, from France, and Indian sitar player Ustad Shahid Parvez Khan.
According to the listings website Whatsonwhen: "Musiqat is a rare musical encounter between the east and the west with concerts that blend traditional music with innovative tunes.
"Performances are held at Ennejma Ezzahra, Tunisia's Centre for Arab and Mediterranean Music in Sidi Bou Said."
The prices for each event taking place at the festival generally cost 10 Tunisian dinar, or around £4.50.
