Adventure holidays to the city can take in great landscape
People planning to take an adventure holiday may like to visit the capital of Iceland, Reykjavik, to experience the "beautiful weirdness" of the city.
That is according to television presenter Julia Bradbury, who told the Daily Telegraph about the city, which is her favourite destination in the world.
"I love Iceland - which is so weird and beautiful - and the capital Reykjavik, too. The city's not just the perfect springboard to see the island, it also has its own geothermal spa and a lot of cool bars," she noted.
"Head to the waterfront, soak up the atmosphere and then make for a bar to have a coffee or something stronger."
Reykjavik - which is also the country's largest city - is also one of the world's 15 greenest cities, according to Grist Magazine.
Ms Bradbury is best known for presenting ITV's Wish You Were Here and Countryfile on BBC with Matt Baker. She was also the host of the launch of Channel Five in 1997, alongside Tim Vine.
